Overview
The project introduces a new digital infrastructure in healthcare, improving services and connectivity in sensitive environments.
The first implementation in Pozzuoli integrates LiFi for patient information and clinical connectivity.
The system operates on two levels:
- LiFi G for information in entrance areas
- LiFi S for bidirectional connectivity in Cardiology
CONCEPT
Light as a healthcare service
Light becomes a communication channel between hospital, staff, and patients.
Information and connectivity in one ecosystem
LiFi G and LiFi S integrate reception, services, and secure connectivity.
CHALLENGE
Introducing technology in hospitals with strict safety and compatibility requirements.
Avoiding radio interference while maintaining high performance.
Improving access to information from the entrance area.
Solutions
Installation of a LiFi G totem:
- access to information via LiFi Zone app
- digital touchpoint for patients
Implementation of LiFi S in Cardiology:
- bidirectional light-based connection
- high speed and stability
- no interference
Project launched in December 2021, with potential expansion.
Results
First LiFi hospital in Italy and pioneering global case.
