Overview
The project introduces a new digital infrastructure in the healthcare sector, improving services and connectivity in sensitive environments.
The first implementation in Pozzuoli integrates LiFi technology for patient information and clinical connectivity.
The system is divided into two levels:
- LiFi G for information content in the entrance area
- LiFi S for bidirectional connection in the Cardiology department
CONCEPT
Light as a health service
Light becomes a channel of communication between the facility, operators, and patients, distributing information and connectivity.
Information and connectivity in the same ecosystem
LiFi G and LiFi S integrate hospitality, digital services and secure connections in a single system.
CHALLENGE
Introducing technology into the hospital environment with high safety and compatibility requirements.
Avoid interference and radio emissions while maintaining high performance.
Improve access to information already in the reception areas.
Solutions
Installation of a LiFi G totem in the entrance area:
- access to content via the LiFi Zone app
- digital information point for patients
Implementation of LiFi S in Cardiology:
- two-way connection via light
- high speed and stability
- absence of interference
Project launched in December 2021, with the possibility of extension to other departments and territories.
Results
The first LiFi hospital in Italy and a pioneering case at the international level.
