After significant experience in the museum sector, To Be is broadening its horizons and expanding its innovation beyond national borders. The company, founded with the goal of transforming light into data and service infrastructure, is participating in the PR FESR Marche call for proposals with the LiFi Art International – New Forms of Enjoyment of Culture project , aiming to establish itself as a European leader in the field of technologies applied to cultural heritage.

The project

The LiFi Art International project was created to support the internationalization of To Be, an innovative SME based in Ascoli Piceno, among the first in the world to develop and market Li-Fi solutions for cultural contexts. The initiative aims to consolidate the position it has acquired in Italy—with over 15 museums already involved—and project it into European markets, with particular attention to the Netherlands and Finland, countries identified as key technological and cultural hubs.

The plan is divided into two phases. The preparatory phase involves hiring a Temporary Export Manager, registering the To Be brand at the European level, internationalizing the website and communications materials, developing software for prospecting and international CRM, and establishing a LiFi Art showroom at the company headquarters. The implementation phase involves implementing the business plan: multilingual communications campaigns, web and social media listings in five languages, participation in international trade fairs, developing strategic partnerships, and attracting foreign operators to test the technology directly in the showroom.

Purpose

The project's goal is to position To Be as a European leader in the development of LiFi solutions applied to cultural heritage , leveraging its Italian expertise and the unique nature of a technology capable of combining lighting and data transmission. Through internationalization, the company intends to strengthen its presence in foreign markets, introduce the LiFi Art platform to a global audience of museums, institutions, and partners, and collect data to tailor services to the specific needs of individual cultural contexts.

The ultimate goal is twofold: on the one hand, to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of the business model, with greater specialization in the software component and the involvement of local partners in hardware design; on the other, to contribute to a transformation of the cultural sector, offering inclusive, interactive, and sustainable digital tools for an innovative use of artistic heritage.
